Mapping US Support of Orphanages

This mapping exercise was developed by ChildFocus for Better Care Network and ReThink Orphanages in collaboration with members of the ReThink Orphanages US Hub and with support from the GHR Foundation. Mapping US support of orphanages is an important issue which involves a range of different actors and communities operating across the child welfare, education, travel and tourism sectors as well as faith-based communities in the USA. This piece was a first attempt at pulling together what data is available on this complex issue and to start to identify the key actors, strategic opportunities, and data gaps that must be addressed to understand fully the considerable scope and scale of U.S. support for orphanages abroad.
